NEW PRODUCTS AT SOCIETY OF INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY 31st
ANNUAL MEETING
SAN DIEGO, February 28 -- Protein Polymer
Technologies, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PPTI.OB), today
announced that in partnership with Surgica Corporation, they will be exhibiting
at the Society of Interventional Radiology 31st Annual Scientific Meeting
being held March 30 – April 4, 2006 in Toronto, Canada.
The companies plan to showcase three new convenience
kits which are packaged with Surgica’s proprietary
foam embolization products – PVA Plus™, MicroStat™ and
MaxiStat™. These new convenience kits were designed
to offer improved ease of use and overall procedure efficiency
for physicians.
Highlights of the new convenience kits include:
•
PVA Plus™ and spherical MicroStat™ foam embolization
particles pre-packaged dry in sterile syringes.
•
MaxiStat™ particles, offering the advantages of
a larger-sized spherical PVA foam embolization particle
as an alternative to small coils for up to medium-sized
vessels, packaged individually, dry in a vial.
•
All components required to prepare the particles for
delivery. The particles can be hydrated directly in the
physician’s preferred injection fluid.
The convenience kits take advantage of the rapid hydration
properties of PVA Plus™, MicroStat™ and MaxiStat™.
